Fantastic hotel with great staff and good food which doesn’t cost the earth. I have been using the hotel regularly to go and watch Aston Villa and the experience has always been excellent. Made great by the front of house staff - especially Monica on the bar. The rooms are clean too and the breakfast is very good. The bar area is also nice and has all the main sports channels. A couple of issues which require addressing to take it to 5 star. The lift has been broken for as long as I have been staying and the car park was previously free for guests but now there is a fee, which isn’t great. Other than that top place to stay and I’d highly recommend.

Decent enough rooms, a bit dusty but nothing major. The car park is full of trades vehicles which makes parking difficult. I was in 312 on the back of the hotel overlooking the canal but there was no noise despite the noise coming through the ill fitting windows. Shower was really hot and grateful for the mirror having a demister on it! Decent night sleep.

There’s much to be said about this stay, but I will try and keep it short. This is not the first time we’re staying here, and it’s become our preferred hotel, when we visit annually, all the way from Wales. It’s warm, nicely decorated and comfortable. Today however, the reception greeting was quite icy. We were 1/2 hour early for check-in, and the reception lady refused to consider early check in to avoid the crowds creating a bottleneck at 14:00. There’s something to be said about efficiency in process execution. If you allow early check in even if the room is still being prepared, keep the access card aside for collection at the appropriate time, avoiding queues and bottlenecks - basic Lean Six Sigma principles, leaving staff less stressed as well. On the other hand, what fabulous service from the catering staff, Joel and Ina!! I got what I ordered, a tasty steak and chips with mushroom sauce to die for, cooked to perfection! I was absolutely satisfied when I took my last bite, enjoying every mouth full. Ina even offered a steak knife without having to be asked, now that’s proactive thinking, much appreciated! And thanks to Joel for prepping the food, it was like tasting food from home, making me nostalgic. You guys make a mean team, thank you once again for excellent customer service xx

From the point of booking until the end of our stay, everything was perfect. The room and bathroom were both modern and super clean, there was parking right outside, and all the places we wanted to visit were less than a 10 minute drive away. Huge shoutout to SAM who provided us with complementary parking and a room upgrade as the room we wanted wasn’t available at the time of booking, and we were visiting for my husbands birthday. She gave quick responses online, and was also extremely friendly and hospitable in person. Will definitely be using this hotel in the future and would highly recommend.

Good afternoon, I did email this to you, but also wanted to leave a review here. I just wanted to say how amazing our stay was from start to finish. The head of reception (Sam) was fantastic from the minute we walked in, the positive vibes that were given made us feel so welcomed The room was so clean, the cleaning staff have done amazing jobs, so please let them know how much we appreciate it. We had a rough night, the night before at premier inn next door, but your hotel was 10 out of 10 and made our visit to Birmingham so much better. We will be staying again when next in the city. Many thanks Jordan

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay, especially Sam who went the extra mile for me in fixing any problems that I had and providing wonderful customer experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, offering everything I needed for a relaxing visit. Would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing stay here. Friendly warm welcome on arrival. Clean and comfortable room, with coffee facilities, hair drier, but no shower gel? Bar was nice and we had a really good pizza and chips in the evening and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Only annoyance was the one lift in the building was out of order. Definitely stay here again.
